         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 509 B.C. the Monarchial rule was overthrown and it was replaced by a popular government. Once Greece began to emerge so did Rome on the Italian Peninsula. Rome was founded in 753 B.C. and like Athens, was originally a city-state ruled by a monarchy. This caused new things to be created like dividing Rome into two social classes and the Senate.&nbsp;<br><br>When was this government/economy? created or existed<br>753B.C.<br><br>Why was this Government/economy created?<br>Because the monarchial rule was overthrown, it was their next option, and followed through with it.<br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>The Structure of the Feudal System </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The primary relationship in the feudal chain was that between a lord and his vassals, lesser lords who pledged their loyalty to the ranking lord- who was, in some places, a monarch. At the bottom of the chain are the peasants then the next level is their vassals to lords, vassals to kings, then the king.<br>When did the government/economy exist?<br>16th century&nbsp;<br>How has this government/economy operated?<br>The poor people on the bottom were the ones who farmed and did all the hard work, and then knights protected the peasants and gave them food and shelter, etc. This was successful and created a government&nbsp;is the short term.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>By the end of the middle ages a commercial revolution began to change the ways in which people lived and did business. One major event during that time was the black plague of the 1340's  and it did not destroy the feudal system but its far-reaching effects undercut that system. That plague caused everything to drop in price because of the decrease in population. The economy became increasingly based on money and trade, rather than land.</div>]]></description>
