Fr. Charles quotes an early Church Father - “God became (hu)man, so that (hu)man(s) may be God.” What do you think this means?
The beginning of the quote means that God sent Jesus. Jesus became fully human while still keeping his divine nature. In order for people to be with God and to experience Him fully, we had to be saved by Jesus Christ.

Although God and grace are not explicitly shown in LOTR, it is said that these are present in the story like “light from an invisible lamp.” What do you think this means? How does this short observation capture the essence of how the Catholic Imagination views the world?
Like the idea of light from an invisible lamp, God and grace are below the surface of LOTR. By using the invisible light analogy, he explains that we can receive things from sources we can not see. LOTR has God and grace present, and the audience can learn from these themes, even if they can not explicitly see it. Through context and deeper understanding, LOTR is able to convey messages of God and grace in special and subtle ways.

It is said that unlike some Protestant Christian ways of seeing the world, Catholics view the world as “deprived but not depraved.”

Draw upon what you have learned about sin to explain both parts of this statement (you’ll likely need to also define these two words in your answer.
Deprived means lacking of material and cultural goods. Depraved means morally corrupt and wicked. Protestants desire to leave the Earth and want to be in Heaven. This is because they see the Earth as a corrupt and evil place. Catholics, on the other hand, see the Earth idealistically and with love. Because Catholics are able to see God in the world, they are able to see the good in all things. Even if the world suffers, Catholics understand that God loves and brings good things to the world.

Fr. Charles concludes by noting that there isn’t religion nor are there Sacraments in LOTR and yet there is a strong sacramental view of the world. Give three examples from the story of LOTR (as we’ve learned it through the videos we’ve watched) of people, objects, or actions which are symbols which point to aspects of Catholicism.
In some aspects, Gandalf can represent Jesus. Gandalf the Gray dies to save the heroes. He then is resurrected as Gandalf the White. Just as Jesus died and was resurrected to save the world, Gandalf is as well. Sam, Frodo's friend, explains why they must keep fighting to save the world. He believes that the world is worth saving because there is good in the world. This ideal reflects that Catholics believe there is good in the world because God is present on the Earth. Sam and Frodo are called to a mission bigger than themselves. They are simple and little. In Catholicism, it is believed that God calls us to take roles bigger than ourselves. Through these vocations, we are able to grow closer to God, our brothers and sisters, and become the best version of ourselves. Along with this same point, Catholics believe that there is holiness in humility and simplicity which is reflected in the meek lifestyle of the hobbits.

When you grow a relationship with others close to someone, it helps you to love and know that person better. In this case, by knowing and honoring Mary, you can come to understand and love Jesus even more.

I like the way you designed this with a vertical flow and the "dark" mode looks great too. I urge you to break the well written text up over at least two posts per question. You can then use labels on the arrows to move the reader from one text post to the next.

I like the layout here too. With arrows this long, be sure to label the lines in order to help the reader/viewer easily move from one idea (post) to the next one. See what I've done for the winter line.

Excellent use of the images to differentiate the videos. And I like the detail of how you used a fairly similar photo for each one. This gives a subtle, yet sharp sense of symmetry (like my alteration there?)
