I can definitely understand why people commit mass shootings. There is so much information and opinions and divisions and corruptions these days that it can feel overwhelming. Like I can definitely feel myself getting overwhelmed at times with the stuff going on. It really takes a toll on your mental and physical health.

I've noticed for myself that believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and God has helped me so much in my mental health. The foundational parts of Christianity is that we have sinned and cannot make ourselves right with God on our own. When we believe that Jesus died and resurrected to save us from our sin, we live a life of peace with God. In addition, the hope of Christians is in the ultimate perfection of the world and the physical presence of God when Jesus comes back again.

The hope I've gotten from being a Christian is the source of hope and grounding that a lot of teens today don't have or struggle to get. Hope is consistent and endures through touch times with anticipation of the good things coming. Like, we need to stay grounded in what we believe in and in like-minded community because this world is TOUGH and changes so much (especially with the rise of technology).

Ultimately, I think when we give awareness to mental health we should use societal issues (such as gun violence and mass shootings) to reach people where they are with what they need.
