They had options for final products - movies, podcast, glogster, etc.  All media projects.   
They had a peer review of the project.  9th grade evaluated one another...use google form to fill out specific questions that the students had to answer about each other's work. made it meaningful!!

They use Tricaster mini, which has an awesome software program - they can add in what looks like a news set, modify colors to match their school colors, add their mascot, etc.  Very impressive! 

They also use Final cut pro. 

They have a teleprompter - with a camera behind it that films through a piece of glass . Teleprompter reflects against this glass so students look right into the camera.  Nice setup! 

Now that the students are experienced, they told me it takes about 30 minutes to create a weekly show. 

Uses touch cast on iPad

PVLEGs  - their rubric for presentations (Poise, Voice, Life, Eye contact, Gestures, Speed)

TelePrompter included within the app - appears on side of video that you filmed for voiceover.

Vapps (video apps)  within the video app -  the person viewing can touch on to interact with the movie, poll, etc. 

 These features require iPad 4

For filming, everyone acts, but each student take a lead on an element of planning - writing,directing etc.

Videos - save as you go - saves to iPad.  Touchcast has space you can upload to.

Can have multiple projects at once but tell students not to delete other ss projects

She suggests to delete movies after export - take a ton of space
