I chose benefits of women’s football. I will talk about the impact of women’s football on society and also how it has been changing the stereotypes in women’s sport. It happens very often that girls or young women are dropping out of sport because they can be seen like non-feminine. And I would like to focus on these gender stereotypes. It’s clear that girls and women who play sports have higher levels of confidence and lower levels of depression.

Samantha comes from sports family. At young age she pretended to be a boy to play Australian football in boy´s team because there was no girl´s team. And she didn’t want to treat her any differently in her team. At the age of 12 she must have given up her dream sport. It started to be dangerous for her. So the same year she moved to soccer (football).
And at age of 15 she made her professional debut. One important information is that she hated soccer.
‘’I started at 12. Before that it was all AFL. If it was up to me, I would have stayed with football. I hated soccer when I was a kid. I never had a soccer ball around the house.,,
