Most of these denominations such as, Lutheran, Baptist, Episcopal, were brought by African-Americans settlers moving from the U.S. to Liberia, while some are indegenious- like Pentecostal and Evangelical Protestant.

Christianity is a monotheistic religion. Christians worship through songs, dances, readings from scripture, prayers, sermons, and various holy ceremonies. The Christians sacred text is the Holy Bible.  Most Christian places of worship will have a cross.

Kpelle is the top represented ethnicity of Liberia.

The Kpelle immigrated from northern South Sudan to Mali, Liberia, Mauritania, and Chad. About half a million of the Kpelle people speak Guinean Kpelle, but in Liberian schools, Liberian Kpelle is taught and is spoken by half as many. The Kpelle people practice both Christianity(Lutheran) and Islam.

Bassa is the second most represented ethnicity in Liberia.

The Bassa people have a Kemetic origin which means that they are people who likely left Egypt in early medieval era and migrated south then west, sometime after the collapse of Adbassa Empire and the invasion of the Persians in 6th-century. Some migrated coastal West Africa and other parts including Liberia, Sierra Leone, Togo and Nigeria, Senegal while others settled in central African region of Cameroon and Congo. The Bassa speak the Bassa language, a Kru language that belongs to the Niger-Congo family of languages. The Bassa people practice several different denominations of Christianity.

One example of folk culture is their participation in secret socities. While still belonging to Christian or Muslim denominations, ethnic groups in all regions participate in religious secret societies associated with the spirit world, including the Poro and Sande gender-based secret societies. The Poro society is found amongst the Bassa, Gola, Kissi, Kpelle, Loma, Mano, and Vai people of Liberia.

Liberia has its own ancient music and instruments. While Liberian music is part of wider West African music heritage, it is also distinct from its neighbors. There are several different types of drums used in traditional music. Drums are one of the most widely used instruments in many ceremonies both official and nonofficial, weddings, christenings, naming ceremonies, holidays, graduations, etc.
