What do you think about when you think of the name Shakespeare?  Theatre. Old Elizabethan era, posh attitude, fancy over the top clothes. At first it was referred to writer himself, but
now it has almost become its own genre.

Have you ever watched Shakespeare being performed, either in the theatre or film?
I watched a bit of the romeo and juliet movie, but i have never seen it live or other movies. 

In your opinion, why has Shakespeare become such a cultural icon?
I think its because at that time his plays were a new kind of entertainment for the people. And because of that he got more and more famous. even now to this day.
Apparently he also came up with hundreds of words and expressions in the English language that is still used today.
He was also quite controversial

Do you think Shakespeare's plays are still relevant in the 21st century?
I think nowadays some plays that are performed are just for entertainment purposes. but because the world is getting more and more technological, the use

of this sort of old fashioned plays and the language used in it are no longer relevant for the youth. Most students that have to study Shakespeare at one point

might even find it boring.
