         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>The national fruit!</em></strong><br>The pomegranate is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub or small tree that grows between 5 and 8 m tall. In the Northern Hemisphere, the fruit is typically in season from September to February and in the Southern Hemisphere from March to May. As intact arils or juice, pomegranates are used in cooking, baking, meal garnishes, juice blends, smoothies, and alcoholic beverages, such as cocktails and wine.<br><br></div><div>The edible fruit is a berry, intermediate in size between a lemon and a grapefruit, 5–12 cm in diameter with a rounded shape and thick, reddish skin.&nbsp; The number of seeds in a pomegranate can vary from 200 to about 1400.<br><br></div>]]></description>

It consists of two major </em><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volcanic_cone"><em>volcanic cones</em></a><em>: Greater Ararat, the </em><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mountains_in_Turkey#Mountains_of_Turkey"><em>highest peak in Turkey</em></a><em> and the </em><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_Highland"><em>Armenian plateau</em></a><em> with an </em><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summit_(topography)"><em>elevation</em></a><em> of 5,137 m (16,854 ft); and </em><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Ararat"><em>Little Ararat</em></a><em>, with an elevation of 3,896 m (12,782 ft). It is native to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperate">temperate</a> western and southwestern <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasia">Eurasia</a> and the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mediterranean">Mediterranean</a> region.</div><div>Oregano is a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perennial_plant">perennial</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herb">herb</a>, growing from 20–80 cm (7.9–31.5 in) tall, with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opposite_leaves">opposite leaves</a> 1–4 cm (0.39–1.57 in) long. The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flower">flowers</a> are purple, 3–4 mm (0.12–0.16 in) long, produced in erect spikes.
