The American dream was fine, true, and alive until we had 4 years of Donald trump. Growing up he was thinking of being highway patrolman, his friend had mentioned he should join the LA police department. He spent service time in the military and found out those are some of the dumbest guys out there. He later changed his mind and scored high on the mailman test and got the job. I asked him what influenced him and it was the military. It influenced him because he saw how messed up the military was. His hopes and dreams came true because he wanted a good job so he could retire and live the luxury of owning his own home, and able to enjoy time with his kids and grand kids. He believes the U.S. is still the "land of opportunity" if you don't grasp for the highest if you are ambitious you become wrapped up in your greed. He's always just wanted enough to enjoy life. His parents taught him to work hard and be honest which he did. He was loyal to my employer. She was a very talented writer, despite this her writing was turned down in elementary because it was in Spanish, this didn't stop her and she wins a writing contest later on in middle school. She wanted to go to college to continue writing. Her father forbid her from going to school to continue her writing. She still pushes to make her dream come true. In 1999 she graduates from UCSC and earns her BA in creative writing and goes on to sell many books and become an award-winning author.
