now we will talk about how thoughts are transmitted in the brain. First of all, there are two general kinds of cells in the brain. Neurons, which are in charge of transmitting the thought, and glia which supply the neurons with nutrients and such. First, information is received somewhere. Then, it travels across neurons to be computed in the grey matter. The signal is received across a synapse. When the signal gets to a neuron's dendrites, the dendrite compute the neurotransmitters into an electrical impulse. The impulse is sent to the axon where it opens up its sodium ion channels." Lily taught.

the parts of the brain and how signals are transmitted. Now lets talk about the teenage brain. During puberty, a lot of things are different in the brain. Not only are there hormones, but also pruning of some neurons to make the brain stronger and the frontal lobe is less active and the amygdala takes care of some of its jobs. This is a problem because the amygdala is more of a gut reaction than logical thinking like the frontal lobe. One job of the frontal cortex that the amygdala now controls is the emotions on other peoples faces. This causes misinterpretation of some expressions because the amygdala has more gut reactions," Lily said.

is sleep. The pattern that all animals use for sleeping and waking is the circadian rhythms. Cells that are in charge of this are the "body clock". Melatonin is a chemical in the brain that makes you sleep. While adults only need 8 hours of sleep, most teenagers need at least nine and a quarter hours. If you don't get enough sleep, it will affect how your brain works. When a person doesn't get enough sleep, they may miss the rapid eye movement sleep (REM)," Lily informed.

the protein gates "open" up, and sodium ion molecules flood into the neuron. This makes the inside of the neuron less negative compared to the outside of the neuron when a threshold is met of certain positivity, more channels open. This creates a "wave" of opening channels down the axon. It the wave skips the myelinated, or insulated portions, to the un-myelinated parts, also known as the nodes of Ranvier. When the signal reaches the end of the neuron, the impulse triggers the release of neurotransmitters. They enter the presynaptic terminal where the collection of chemicals is released into the synapse and is computed in the next neuron," Lily finished.

People with depression may feel sad and angry all the time, have feelings of worthlessness, develop eating disorders, which can make you lose weight or gain weight, and have sleep problems. Another risk of depression is 🤬 and self-harm. Some people self harm because it is a way to feel something or take control.

research has found many things that help your brains. One of them is getting more exercise. I actually tried doing that last week. Foremost, I felt happier and more clear of mind. That is because as I was exercising my brain released Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor proteins adn endorphins which act as an anti-stress and "brain-clear-er". In addition, exercise increases some brain cells, improves circulation, and helps build your immune system. Furthermore, it helps learning and memory by, scientist think, improving the blood flow.
