Write a 150-word tweet titled "Blame it on the parents" using the hashtag #parentfail about something your parents “failed” to do for you or something they "forced" you to do against your will and the consequences it has had in your present life. In addition, mention what you would have done had you been in their shoes and the type of parents (authoritarian, permissive, etc.) you think they were. Justify your answer.

#parentfail I regret my parents were very busy and never took me to swimming lessons when I was a child. Therefore, I had to wait until my teenagehood to learn how to swim in a very basic way. But for my parents' decision, I would have been able to swim well from an early age (like my older brother). As a consequence, I have never learned how to swim properly, and I still feel very insecure about it. I wish they had had the time for that. Had I been in their shoes, I would have asked someone else to take me to the swimming pool, like my aunt or my best friend's mom, for instance. That's why, when my first child was born, I decided to take him to swimming lessons when he barely knew how to walk. I don't think my parents were negletful at all, on the contrary, they were always very protective and supportive. I actually don't blame them for this minor fail.
