The urinary system filters waste, extra water, and toxins from the blood and excretes them. </div><div>It helps keep chemicals, such as sodium and potassium, in correct concentrations in the body, and removes urea from the blood, which  when foods containing protein, such as meat, poultry, and certain vegetables, are broken down in the body</div>]]></description>
