Although this is a known fact, many did not know that one of his most guarded secrets was the recipe for the Philosopher's Stone. This stone is believed to be the base in which alchemist can turn lead into gold. The article continues to talk about more of the background into alchemy, about how metals are not considered elements like they are today. Alchemists believed that metals were made up of mercury, sulfur, and salt.

This article contained red flags of ancient wisdom. This as an older art in which is seldom practiced openly today. We now how more science to prove that metals are not made up of sulfur, salt, and mercury. This article lacks details about what was in Isaac Newton's research logs, except that it had to deal with alchemy.

This article talks about the art of alchemy and describes the teachings and the practices to be understood by anyone who reads. It outlines the fourteen parts and processes or states through which the alchemical substances pass from the time they are first placed in the test tube until ready as medicine for plants, minerals, or men, the goals for alchemists, and alchemist symbolism.

This article contained mostly talks of mystical energy. Some of the topics that were talked about seemed so irrational, but they appealed to the reader. This article also contain lots of ideological point of views from the writer, some that were explained by professors. This was probably the most interesting article I have ever read.

http://www.alchemywebsite.com/islam02.html

This article, edited by a professor at the University of Cairo, describes the technical arts related to alchemy in Egypt. It describes their ancient belief in the alchemist metallurgy, iron and copper extraction, the mysticism of metals, and how they used this to make glass. He believes that the ancient Egyptians were the originators of the art of alchemy, and they paved the way for the rest of the world.

Some red flags that could be in this article would be suppression by authorities. This university professor could be a legit professor, or it could be someone trying to feed false information to readers. Much of the information seemed to have merit, but unless you were willing to perform more research in the subject, the information in the article would have to suffice.

This video somewhat backs the theory that alchemists can transmute one metal into another. They explain all of the science behind it and how it has been done in a lab in Berkeley California at the price of $120, 000.
Although this video shows proof that transmutation is not impossible, it comes at a cost. Believing that lead can be turned to gold and seeing that it can be done can make someone believe that all of alchemists work is valid.

The Philosopher's stone is a legendary alchemist substance capable of turning base metals such as mercury into gold or silver. It is also able to extend one's life, and it was the most sought-after goal in alchemy. The Philosopher's stone was the central symbol of the mystical terminology of alchemy, symbolizing perfection at its finest. Efforts to discover the philosopher's stone are known as the Magnum Opus.

The red flag that would correlate with the Philosopher's stone would be mystical energy. Since this is the most sought after substance on Earth for alchemists, they spend their lives trying to figure out a way to create this substance since it has this mystical energy.
