Great way for students to experiment. Taking risks is how we learn. Students should feel safe to fail & make mistakes. 
Students can set their own goals for how they achieve. Their own definition of success.

Is Gate worthwhile?
Yes. How do we ensure that we are all aware of their strengths? For example certain gifts will come to the fore in PE vs the gifts that come out in Geography for example.
