There is also a section on the daily planners for students to record their weekly spelling words.  Homework will come home every week in the Red Monday folders. The homework will be turned in by the following Friday.  If the student is having difficulty completing homework, please do call! The quarterly reading goals are for your child to enjoy books whether he/she is reading or being read to.  You can count 15 minutes of reading, one chapter book, or one book on the blue reading record sheet.  See the reading goal sheet for a more thorough description of the reading program.  The reading goal and theme will change quarterly.
