Every day these rigs become homes to marine life, but it also impacts its population, habitats, organic reefs as well as its food chain. Because of that, organizations such as “rigs to reefs” are doing extractions recycled to make artificial reefs out of these rigs to be more secure for marine life. Research shows making a change so that future generations of sea life and organic reefs change drastically over time would affect the ocean from the environment, the economy, and society in general land. This work is important to me since coral reefs support millions of people around the world by providing food, coastal protection, exploration, and more.
And if we do this work, artificial reefs will develop into an area that enhances recreation habitat, tourism, and the ocean life community.
