David helps the other uglies to escape their community to flee the to smoke. David is a helpful character and gets along well with most other characters in the book. He is our favorite character mostly because is selfless. David  reminds me of myself, because I think I spend more time caring to see if other people are doing okay then I do to check on myself.

We never really know why she's a rebel and we think it's because she was influenced by other people. Throughout the book she has a very negative attitude and she just doesn't feel that passionate about rebellion.

Yesterday, the special circumstances arrested a tons of rebel who escaped our city and went completely rogue. Our forces were able to track them down because a tracker was implanted into somebody and was activated while thrown in the fire. Our Special Circumstances used special hover cars that include helicopter technology to capture everyone and destroy everything they built. This is just another way to show everyone that we don't play with these kinds of behavior and that they are very punishable

Physcial appearance is the most important theme in the book. This entire book is about people's physical appearance and what good or bad it brings them.People are always arguing about being a pretty or being an uglie. There's a lot of discussion about physical appearance. People from the book always argue about being an uglie or a pretty. People like Shay thinks that being pretty means your dumb, because of the lesion in the brain. Like this quote from Samuel Butler : « Let us be grateful to the mirror to us our appearance only» it explains that mirror show only appearance cause it reveals only your outside beauty and other people need to discover your inner beauty.

2. The difference between social classes is definitely a big part of this book. In this book, people are seperated in two big group those who had the surgery and those who didnt get the surgery. Even in the city they are different parts to separate different classes of people. It's really hard for people from different classes to interact between each other. You can compare this to real life for example rich vs poor, cool kids vs losers, usually interaction between those groups are pretty rare even in our world.

You could also say that Dr.Cable is the antagonist of the novel. We can say that everything bad happening in this book is probably because Dr.Cable was behind it. She is the head of special circumstances and she's in charge of what everything Tally did that was bad : infiltrating the smoke, having a radar on her. She's also in charge of turning all the ugly who escaped into pretties.

Personally, I think this book is too long for the enigma surrounding it. Also, I think things happen that are a bit too far from reality, what I mean by that is that it's surprising that it happened, because what were the chances of that really happening. For example when Tally throws her tracker in the fire and in that way it activates it, I just don't know how Dr.Cable could of possibly knew that she would throw it in the fire.
