Reflection of “Are superheroes good role models?”

After reading this article, I learned that superheroes may have some effects in the real world, which is really surprising to me. This article use an experiment to prove its point, showing that kids can be effected by heroes. I think only 1 experiment is not enough, but it makes sense in some way, since kids will learn anything they see.

In my opinion, children may be affect by those heroes, but saying that heroes can lead to people’s aggressive behaviors is over reacting. Unless you are a kid that knows nothing, you have your own thoughts that are not easy to be effected. How the superheroes behave is one thing, how people behave is another thing. We can't see it as a reason of people doing bad things.

But I think superheroes would be better if they are not bad, because some people stay with those heroes 24 hours a day if they are super fans or something. If you stay with bad heroes for too long, you will get brainwashed by them even if you don’t want to. So it’s good to promote superheroes with positive characteristics, but that doesn’t mean you can’t create bad heroes. People should be able to create anything they want.

David Blaine is a really good magician in my opinion. He is not only good at magic tricks, but also good at expanding the ways to perform the art called “magic”. Unlike traditional magicians, He focus on the interaction between him and his audiences. It brings “magic” into the different layer. He’s greatest endurance challenges are also very cool. Those are really creative and challenging to do. He pushes his body to it’s limit to show off the true meaning of magic. He defines the word “magic” with his physical body and his determination.	The way he became a magician is also really impressive. He set up his life-long goal at the age of 14, then he kept chasing his dream and finally became a magician. He showed his true love and passion on one thing. and he showed his determination on doing it. In my opinion, everyone should have something they really love, so they can have their goals in their life and not just to waste the time. Everyone can do something.	Magic man, a man who create the new definition of “magic”, will continue to change the world with his magic.

Hello everyone, I am 盧昭華. I want to talk about my book.

My book is "I am Sacagawea". It is a book for 6th graders.

This book is about the story of an Indian woman, Sacagawea. She joined The Lewis and Clark expedition at 1804. It was an expedition founded by The Unite State. The purpose of it was to explore the large, unknown territory and find the route to the Pacific Ocean. This was one fo the most important trips on the continent.

Sacagawea was born in Lemhi Shoshone tribe. When she was 12 years old, she was kidnapped by another tribe, Hidatsa. In the new home, she still need to work very hard as a normal Indian woman. The tribe's language is completely different form her tribe. She soon learned how to speak their language.

When she was 15 years old, she was sold to a French-Canadian fur trader, This is what his base looks like.

Soon, The United States bought Louisiana form France. The president asked someone to organized the expedition team, Corps of Discovery. The team came to the village. The fur trader and Sacagawea soon joined to team and started their journey. This is the list of the items they prepared.

They used river to travel at first, then they got to Sacagawea's own tribe, it was the first time Sacagawea went home. The team buy some horses there and traveled through mountains, then they finally reached the ocean.

The team tried their hard to keep friendly relationship to all Indian tribes they met. They learned their customs and sent gifts to them.

Here is some information about the trip. Sacagawea is a very famous woman in Th United States' history, this is the $1 coin.

The tribe's real name is Agaideka, means "Eaters of Salmon". Buffalo hunting is really important to them, it provide meat, furs, hides, and other materials that can be used to do everything.

This book taught me a lot about how early life in the United States looks like. I also learned some costumes about the tribes. I think the way the team did with the Indian tribes were really good, they respect their cultures. I also admire their achievement. They explore a super large area with just a team of 41 peoples!

Hello everyone, today I want to talk about myself, and the dream that I am chasing. If you don’t know, I am the fresh man in this university. I am from the department of computer science and information engineering.
I chose this department because I am interested in programing. I like to use computers to do stuffs. For example I can wright some scripts to do homeworks for me, I can create hacks or exploits for games and take advantage of it. I can do so many things with my computer. Another reason I choose this department is I love playing games. I like to play various types of game. From mobile games to computer games, from online games to PC games. I like them a lot. Since I played a lot of games, I started to thinking creating my own games. I started learning C plus plus in my first grade in high school. I experienced how powerful programing languages are. I can do anything with them. I can add pictures, design characters’ movements, add sounds, draw menu with just some lines of codes. Since then, I started self-learning Java to make games. I chose Java because I loved Minecraft, which is coded in Java, a lot. I have created some games from scratch, those were enjoyable experience. I really like it. Now in the NTNU, I met some friends that have the similar hobbies and skills with me. I touched some new tools such as Unity and Unreal. I joined some classes and activities about games. I can now go much further about programing and game making. I even teamed up myself and some classmates to make our own games!
That’s about my dream and my efforts to achieve it. I’ll continue to chase my dream, hope that I can make good use of NTNU.
