Having a whole digital library of films organised into genre makes the films way more accessible to people, and the wide selection seems to provide for people of all different tastes.

I watch netflix as a break from work, as background noise when I’m anxious, when there are films that interest me, or whenever I feel like pouring hours of my time into rewatching always sunny in philadelphia to seemingly no end.

I often find things on their I would not normally watch.

It allows me to force people to watch The Cat in The Hat (2003) which is one of the best movies of all time and was well ahead of it's time on release.

Films, being an information technology, once initially created, take absolutely 0 cost to reproduce and if it wasn’t for copyright and intellectual property right laws all films could be provided to everyone for free.
Netflix, similar to music streaming, is a mutation of capitalism in reaction to the rise of free information.
