I would like to say a few words before starting to talk about the subject. I would like to tell you about an anecdote that I happened to experience.
At the age of 16 I was engaged to a boy, at first he seemed to love me and he loved me after about a couple of months he started telling me what to wear, I didn't have to wear makeup, I didn't have to go out with friends I didn't have to even texting us and in fact he blocked them.I at first did not understand why he did this, this story lasted for many months.When one day he allowed himself to slap me I left him instantly and he at first started to threaten me , he said that if he saw me he would kill me. I wanted to report him but he had removed all the evidence from me, he had managed to enter my whatsapp and deleted all my messages. The first few months I didn't go out alone for fear of meeting him. Luckily I had my friends who supported me and he walked away from me and luckily I never heard from him again. Nobody knows about my story only some of my friends ...

According to the latest Istat data, released on the occasion of the International Day forthe elimination of violence against women, valid calls, as of 30 October last, havereached 26,477, exceeding the levels of previous years in 10 months (in all of 2019 ifcount 21,290). The peak was reached in the months of the lockdown, when the female victims didthey are found, due to the health emergency, forced for a long period at home with theabusive men. The numbers tell it: from March 1st to mid-April there were 5,031phone calls (+ 73% more than in the same period in 2019).The lockdown had a negative impact on femicides. One of the most relevant aspects in the analysisEURES concerns the "correlation between cohabitation and homicidal risk". Given that thefemicide is a crime committed in most cases within the wallsdomestic, and particularly within the couple, the lockdown has strongly modified therisk profiles of the phenomenon, increasing that in coexistence relationships and reducing it inother cases. In absolute values, in the comparison between the ten months of 2019 and the same period of2020, the number of family femicides with cohabiting victims rises from 49 to 54 (+ 10.2%), whileat the same time, that of non-cohabiting victims fell from 36 to 26 (-27.8%).
