I`d like to tell you about a house of my dream.

I would live out of the ordinary. My house is a pretty eccentric and brand new with all the luxuries. I would buy the well-maintained house. This house is spacious, airy, quite and cosy. I`d like to have my own house on the bank of the ocean with crystal water, surrounded by high mountains and forest. I would live on the outskirts. I imagine my house to be 1-storeyed. Also under the ground is a cellar. The whole first storey is made of fiberglass. Through the walls you can see a wonderful view on the ocean.

As you come through the front door, you find yourself in a large hall with a fireplace. In my house are living room, two bedrooms, fitted kitchen, lounge, home cinema, two balconies and terrace. All rooms are fully furnished and fully equipped. My room faces the south, so it`s very sunny and has a lovely view on the whole beach. Moreover, I have many different electrical applainces in my house.

A house of my dream is a beautiful place at any time of year. In winter it`s warm and cosy, in summer there is so much to do outside.

Someone maybe wants an underwater or an underground house, somebody possibly wants to live in a house, which take place on the mountain, but I prefer a house in a tree.
My house will be great (giant) with a pitched roof. It will have 3 storeys: entrance hall, lounge and my storey. Lounge will be with fitted kitchen and my storey 2-bedroomed. Dwelling will be fully-equipped, maybe with an attic.
The treehouse will be fully-furnished with decorations, pictures and with other cute stuffs. There also will be comfortable sofa and colourful sitting bags as well as patterned walls.
I hope that someday my dream became true and I will be able to build the house of my dream.

Dreaming about your future career, getting yourself a pet or about a house. And i'd like to tell you about my dream house.

My dream house is located somewhere on the outskirts of the town, but close to the tube station. It's modern and brand new with all the luxuries. I don't need too much space, so it's only one-storey. The roof is pitched and you can see the chimney coming through it. The house also has rear patio surrounded by a shared fence, because I want my dog to have enough space to run.
When you come inside you can see full-walled windows, which let in lots of sunlight. From the entrance hall you immediately see minimalistic fitted kitchen and the fully furnished living room where every evening is quiet and cozy. Deeper in the house is the bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a king size bed.

My dream house is perfect to relax after a stressful , call somebody over and have a great time outside in the patio or inside watching and watch a movie. It does not spoil the look of the neighbourhood and warms my heart.

In my house, there will be very large windows. They give a lot of light, and moreover, glass is one of the most environmentally friendly materials. But don't look at the large windows, it will withstand the harsher winters in Finland. Around it is likely to be a forest. The house itself will be small, but two-stored. This house will be very economical since there will be solar panels installed on the roof. There will be a fitted kitchen and central air heating(economical.),2 bedrooms, cellar it can be a sports hall and others room will be fully-equipped. There isn't much space, but everything is used to the maximum. In the rear patio will be lounge space.

I think that everyone has their own dream home and wants it to become a reality.

Secondly, I don't want to build my house from scratch. I just want to change something by doing amazing things. For example, I can be a tree surgeon to make my trees more interesting. Also, I will draw on my house wall.
In the house of my dream will be stairs with chocolate drawing. There will be enough of space, quiet and cozy rooms, well-maintained rooms, fitted kitchen, fully-equipped kitchen, central heating, rear patio, sliding doors, air conditioning, and security system.
How I said, I want to live out of ordinary. What can I do? For example, I will put a giant shrimp on my house. What is more, out walls will be with space drawing. This sculpture will show people how much I like shrimps and space. Also, there will be more interesting spots in the future. Moreover, it is eco-friendly because it saves electricity
Finally, my strange ideas will come to me when I will live there.

In the left-hand of the kitchen there will be a long corridor with two doors on both sides and one in front. If you step to the right there you can see an adorable bedroom. It is quite and cosy, due to the fact it is fully done in pastel colours. Also, there you can see 2-bedroomed convertible sofa with several number of flush toys on it. This room greatly appeals to me.
Opposite door is the enter to the bathroom, where I would spend most of the time in the morning doing my morning routine.
And the last one would be a lounge, where I would chill and relax after a hard working day. There would be my own private home library and eccentric lighting for creating an approaching atmosphere to feel yourself retired and released.
And finally, I would definitely add a security system to be sure that nobody gets into my paradisaical place.

That`s how my dream appartment would look like. I will continue dreaming and doing everything in my power to bring my dreams to life

1. The choice becomes difficult due to the ratio of alternatives. In a difficult choice one option is better than one in one respect, the other option in another, but none of them is superior to the other in general.

2. Understanding that making small decisions may not be easy will help make important decisions easier.

3. Fear of the unknown is a big part of our motivation in difficult choices.

4. It’s more correct to say about a difficult choice that it is a choice between equally good options. But it is not.

5. The puzzle arises from the thoughtless assumption we make about values. We unconsciously admit that values such as justice, beauty, and kindness are akin to scientific quantities like length, mass, and weight.

6. But the world of values is different from the world of science. Things in one world can be measured with real numbers. Things in another world - no. It is not necessary to assume that the world of what is - the world of weight and length - has the same structure as the world of what we should do.

7. In a world of difficult choices, we have to resort to our ability to create rules, the ability to create arguments for ourselves.

8. Choosing between the options «on an equal footing», we can do what we want. We can justify the choice of option with our position.

9. Faced with a difficult choice, we should not bang our heads against the wall, trying to decide which option is better. There is no better option. Instead of looking for external arguments, you need to look for internal arguments.

10.

The video is about hard choices that we make in our lives. When we think about a hard choice it’s usually something big (like marrying, jobs, charities etc.). But not all hard choices are big. As, for example, Ruth Chang says in the video, that you can’t choose what to eat for breakfast. And that’s a hard choice too. So, small choices can also be hard.
To solve the problem of deciding what to do she wrote down pros and cons. But it was still hard to choose. So she took the safest option as most of us do. She became a lawyer and suddenly understood that it wasn’t who she was. And now she is a philosopher.
- it’s a mistake to think that in hard choices one thing is a lot better the other thing
- since we don’t know which is better we take the safest option
- but there is no better
- not having the best option makes the choosing hard
But then both alternatives must be good? And we can choose flip a coin and it’s that easy to decide? Nope.
- try making both options look bad
- and then make one of the a bit better
Does the option seems better? Not necessarily. So maybe choose the other job then? Not sure.
- we tend to assume science is greater to everything else in our world and so we try to use science
- but there is also value and we cannot use science with it
- these two things have their own strengths
- is does not equal ought
- so things can be “on a par”. one alternative isn’t better than the other. they are in a similar league of value, but they are still different kinds of value
- on a par reasons aren’t given to us. they are created by us
- so by making reasons and choosing we are becoming ourselves
In my opinion, there is a lot of useful information said in this video and I agree with most of it. But the way it is said can be a tad too complicated. I got lost a few times but still found my way out. I agree that there is no best or worst options. They just simply have different values and it’s our job to choose what's best for us.
In conclusion, making hard choices can be complicated but these choices make us the people that we are today.

This woman is discussing about how people make hard choices in their life. Whether it is marrying somebody or just choosing between two jobs. But she thinks that people have misunderstood the role hard choices are playing in our lives.

1. What makes a choice hard are alternatives. In hard choices, one alternative is better than the other. In some choices none of them is better but you need to choose.

2. We need to understand that hard choices are hard not because we are stupid. They are hard because there is no best option for us.

3. Hard choices are equally good options.

4. How are we suppose to choose when neither is better than the other, nor are they equally good? We compare of the overall merits of two is something we can make, and one we often do make.

5. We unwittingly assume that values like justice, beauty, kindness, are akin to scientific quantities, like length, mass and weight. Take any comparative question not involving value, such as which of two suitcases is heavier. There are only three possibilities. The weight of one is greater, lesser or equal to the weight of the other. Properties like weight can be represented by real numbers – one, two, three and so on – and there are only three possible comparisons between any two real numbers. One number is greater, lesser, or equal to the other. Not so with values.

6. The world of value is different from the world of science. The stuff of one world can be quantified by real numbers but the stuff of the other world cannot.

7. There is no reason to believe that there are only three possibilities. Better, worse or equal. We need a new relation that describes what is going on in hard choices. This woman likes to say that the alternatives are "on a par." When alternatives are on a par, it may matter very much which you choose, but one alternative isn't better than the other.

8. A part of being rational is doing the better thing than the worse thing. Choosing what you have most reason to choose.

9. Hard choices are good opportunities for us to understand that reasons that govern our choices as correct or incorrect sometimes run out and this is when create reasons for ourselves to become the distinctive people that we are. And that's why hard choices are not a curse but a godsend.

10. People who don't exercise their normative powers in hard choices are drifters. Drifters allow the world to write the story of their lives.

11. The lesson of hard choices: reflect on what you can put your agency behind, on what you can be for, and through hard choices, become that person.

12. When we face hard choices we should not look for a better alternative. There is no best alternatives. We should look for who are we trying to be. What we do in hard choices is very much up to each of us.

I agree with everything that this woman said. We should not beat our heads against a wall deciding which choice is best because there is no best choices. We need to choose what makes us happy. We should not choose what is expected of us. I believe that we need to choose what first came to our minds. We need to make hard choices impulsively, without thinking about the consequences, because in future we will regret that we did not choose what would made us happy.

The speaker explains what we do wrong with difficult choices.

1. Hard choices seem to be occasions for agonizing, hand-wringing.

2. What makes a choice hard is the way the alternatives relate.

3. In any easy choice, one alternative is better than the other. In a hard choice, one alternative is better in some ways, the other alternative is better in other ways, and neither is better than the other overall.

4. Hard choices are equally good options.

5. Often we are scared to choose because of fear that we will not make the right decision.

6.

In the article, Margaret Heffeman rises the topic of the human skills we need in an unpredictable world

1). The speaker believes that rationality no longer works for us. This has become one of the most important problems — the ability to cope with surprises, because they have recently become the norm. That is why experts and forecasters are reluctant to predict anything more than 400 days in advance.

2). There are certain patterns, but they sometimes can’t help. So even the smallest changes can have a big impact. And this means that knowledge and experience can not do here, because the system is changing too quickly.

3). There are so many things in the world that at the moment are not predictable. We know that climate change is real, but we cannot predict where forest fires will start, and we do not know which plants will be flooded. In an environment that is not predictable, rationality not only does not help us, it undermines and destroys our ability to adapt and respond.

4). So if efficiency is no longer our guiding principle, what should we do in the future? What thinking style will really help us? If earlier we concentrated on just-in-time management, now it’s worth starting to think about “all kinds of fire cases”.

5). Countries that are concerned about climate change are aware of the need to use a number of solutions, to find various sources of renewable energy, and not just one. At the moment, the most developed countries have been working for years to change the systems of water supply, food and health care, because they are aware that by the time the forecast becomes accurate enough, it will be too late to start something.

6). Try to experiment and create a lot of connections!

7). An unsuccessful experiment may seem irrational, but this is the only way to find out how the real world works.

8). She also considers, that preparedness, coalition building, imagination, experimentation, courage ... in our unpredictable times - these are colossal sources of vitality and strength. They are not always rational, but they give us enormous potential for adaptation, diversity and inventions. And the less we know about the future, the more we need these colossal sources of simple human and unpredictable skills.

9). The author said, that the more we allow cars to think for us, the less we start to think for ourselves. The more time doctors spend on electronic cards, the less time they spend on patients.

I agree with everything that the woman said (and learned a lot of interesting facts about different plans in the areas of activity). I think we should not be afraid of anything. And no matter how contradictory this may sound, we should not control our future, because it is not measurable. We must have several plans at hand, not just one. Yes, it is costly and irrational, but it is reliable. We will have several ways out of a difficult situation, and not just one that may not be suitable. And do not forget about loved ones, because no technology and data will help us, like our friends, colleagues and parents. We are so brave that we invent things that we have never seen before. If you lose these skills, we will only have to go with the flow. But by honing and developing them, we can create any future that we want. The harsh truth is that the future is unknown, you can’t see it on the map. In conclusion, just... do not afraid be an experimenter.

We're really fascinated with body language, and we're particularly interested in other people's body language.
4.

This woman is talking about how can forgiveness prevent more crimes and create a legal system.

1. People who are African American are expected to forgive more often than other people.

2. The law leans severely towards punishment these days.

3. Lawyers and officials too often overlook the tools that law itself creates to allow forgiveness, when the principle should be the cornerstone of a thriving society.

4. Tools, when used, replicate the disparities, the inequities along the lines of race and class and other markers of advantage and disadvantage.

5. Historically, white people are pardoned four times as often as members of minority groups for the same crime.

6. Resentment is like drinking a poison and hoping it will kill your enemies.

7. Law can remove the penalties for those who apologize and seek forgiveness.

8. Youth are caught in worlds that are made by adults, and forgiveness can offer both accountability and fresh starts.

9. Sometimes, a society just needs a reset when it comes to punishment and debt.

10. Forgiveness may encourage more violations.

11. Forgiveness could undermine the commitment that law has to treat people the same under the same circumstances, to apply rules evenly.

12. Forgiveness between individuals is supported by every religious tradition, every philosophic tradition.

13. This wonan taught law for 40 years and only now realized that they don't teach law students about the tools of forgiveness that are within the legal system, and nor do law schools usually explore the potential for new avenues for forgiveness that law can adopt or assist.

I agree with everything that this woman said. If you put people in prison for every misconduct, then when they get out of it it will be more difficult for them to find work, get on their feet and live a normal life. The law should help this people and forgive petty crimes. I also don’t understand why the court bypasses the laws that allow forgiving a criminal and punishes him in all severity, when you can forgive and a person will not become angry with the world and will be able to live normally.

In the video Alicia Malone talks about the overlooked legacy of Hollywood’s first female directors.

- Alicia believes that movies can be powerful (keep us up all night or show something that changed us).

- Also she points out that movies are basically a story being told. And storytelling is one of the “human” things that we know.

- She likes that after watching a movie with a friend you can have very different thoughts and stories forming in your heads.

- She tells that in a year 96% of directors are men and 4% are women meanwhile the ratio of graduates from film school are 50/50.

- With only male directors we watch stories only though one genders point of view.

- With female directors we see more women characters, they are more realistic and we can associate ourselves with them.

- In her opinion men get more opportunities to direct than a women. Not because studios that look for directors are sexist, but because for women it is harder to ask for budget because people only see directors as male. And they see women as a risk.

- But Alicia tells us that one of the first movie directors was a woman called Alice Guy Blache who made over 1000 short films and practiced colorful movies. Also there was Louis Weber who made films about social issues. Her most popular work was about abortion.

- But came the Great Depression and Hollywood became a business that didn’t see women as creative individuals.

- From Alicia’s point of view she doesn’t understand why we can’t go back to how the things rolled

- Movies from women, for women and about women are able to make money. It is just the change that we don’t want to face.

- It appears to Alicia that things are changing but very slowly. But the people watching the movies can really help this process just by… watching and sharing them.

I completely agree with the speaker. Issues like that are one of the things that are dragging us further away from becoming equal. We are all able to make great things. And it doesn’t depend on gender.

How symbols and brands shape our humanity.

Debbie Millman, designer, and podcaster, in this video, will tell us How symbols and brands shape our humanity.

-Branding is the profound manifestation of the human spirit, We can traces the evolution of branding in parallel with human evolution, from cave paintings to flags to beer labels and beyond.

-The speaker believes that It's not a coincidence that we've gone from documenting our reality on the cave walls of Lascaux to the walls of Facebook.

-Since ancient times, our ancestors tried to unite people and for this they used began to design telegraphic symbols to represent beliefs and to identify affiliations.

-These symbols connect like-minded people.

-But faith turned out to be not the best way to unite, and wars began, and to determine who on which side people began to use flags.

-Today is present on the army uniform the flag of her country.

-Soon Logos on products also began to appear to identify the manufacturer. An interesting fact is that the first such product was alcohol.

-The next step in evolution was the advent of the Internet. The Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street proved how the internet and hashtags could connect like-minded people with powerful beliefs to inspire change.

-In this short space of time, the concept of branding has changed more, than in a few thousand years.

-In her opinion, Our greatest innovations are the creation of brands that can make a difference in our lives and reflect the kind of world that we want to live in.

In conclusion, I agree with Debbie Millman in the end, people create brands for people. Additionally, I would like to say that it was very interesting to listen to branding history.

And at the end of the day, the improvement is about 0.1 percent.

-In his opinion, giving information to people is just not a good recipe to change behavior.

-Speaker believes that if we want to change behaviour, we have to change the environment.

-People often lie for their own benefit or to not look silly.

-He also consider that we hate losing more than we love to win.

-In his view, people became very distrustful.

-Moreover, it appears to his that at resistance, little things play a big role.

-Speaker told about how he motivated very poor people in a slum called Kibera in Kenya to save a little bit of money for a rainy day. All methods worked, but some were better and some were worse.

-According to the speaker we never know for sure what is best for us.

-Sometimes our intuition fails.

I completely agree with the speaker.

In the article, Asmeret Asefaw talks about a climate change solution that's right under our feet.
1. One of the most important solutions to the challenge that climate change poses is under our feet every day.
2. Soil is just a thin tissue covering the surface of the Earth, but it is able to shape the fate of our planet.
3. The Earth’s atmosphere is heating up due to an increase in the amount of greenhouse gases that we continue to emit into the atmosphere.
4. The concentration of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere has increased by 40 percent over the past 150 years.
5. Humanity releases 9.4 billion tons of carbon into the atmosphere as a result of burning fossil fuels, intensive agricultural practices and new land uses.
6. The concentration of carbon dioxide increases by about half of the emitted, and this is because half of the emitted carbon is absorbed by land and seas.
7. There is twice as much carbon in soil than in vegetation and air.
8. A change in the amount of carbon stored in the soil can significantly affect the state of the earth's atmosphere.
9. Carbon enters the soil through photosynthesis.
10. Carbon-rich soil is healthy and fertile. It is malleable and easy to handle.
11. It is necessary to monitor the earth's resources.
12. It is necessary to plant those plants that will increase carbon in the atmosphere.
13. It is also necessary to reduce agricultural activities.
14. These efforts will offset one-third of the global emissions of carbon from fossil fuels.
15. And if we do this, we can simultaneously address the two most pressing global issues of our time: climate change and soil degradation.

I believe that you need to monitor the release of garbage, burning garbage yourself. This harms not only the soil, but also human health. After all, we live in this world. The best option to follow all the instructions.
