Odysseus and his men arrive at the island of the cyclops. They were one eyed giants that lived in big, dark caves. They all had their own cave because or their massive size.

Rising action #1

Odysseus and his men leave the ship and start looking for a place to stay, but first they find lots of sheep. As they approached the sheep they found a very big cave that had lots of cheese in it. They all go inside to explore it and out of nowhere, a cyclops appears and closes the massive door, leaving all the men locked inside.

Rising action #2

After closing the door, the cyclops finds all the small men inside of the cave and asks what they are doing there. Because they were so scared, they said that they had something for him. Odysseus gave him a very big pot with wine so that he would get tired and fall asleep and they could exit the cave.

Rising action #3

Once the cyclops fell asleep, odysseus grabbed a very long and thick stick and he sharpened the tip. Then all of the men carried it on top of the cyclops, and while the cyclops was sleeping, they stabbed his eye with it. The cyclops desperate got up and started screaming in pain.

Climax

The cyclops was desperate and in a lot of pain, so he got up and tried to get all of Odysseus' men but he couldn't see anything since he got stabbed in the eye.

Falling action

The cyclops opens the massive door and starts asking for help to his brothers. But since odysseus lied when the cyclops asked for his name and said it was nobody, when the cyclops started asking for help no one came.

Resolution

Odysseus and his men were finally able to escape the cave after all that hard work. They got on their ships and headed to a different place.
