         <description><![CDATA[<div>K/5 - Emphasize specific vocabulary that is used in 5th - such as "rods" rather than "tens" and say "units" rather than "ones" or explain that the rod is representing tens and the unit is representing ones.&nbsp; 5th grade uses rods to represent tens or tenths.&nbsp; Use the academic vocabulary "rhombus" along with or instead of "diamond."&nbsp; Fractions - very difficult concept for 5th graders to understand that a fraction is part of a whole number.&nbsp; In K - present real life examples of fractions such as showing/discussing "half" of a sandwich or pizza, etc. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>
