Working with 3rd graders using Pixton to create a comic strip. Found a video for 6-12 on Creating Comics from the Media Arts Toolkit. It was a great intro to the parts of a comic and how to find your strength.

Civil War

We have launched our unit on Wisconsin and the Civil War. I used this to introduce our unit, along with History.org -- Lincoln series. Students have been really interested in the battles. I will jump back to this resource I am sure several times through out this unit.

I am not sure if I was using the correct resources, but I had my students use some of the math activities. They were interactive math activities. Today we watched a video on different types of angles.

Learned about it from recommended resource list last session. Kids loved it! It connected to what we're doing in ELA - learning about early Native peoples in North America.
