A few years ago, myself and another teacher at the school I was at were both teaching grade 6, we connected over teaching and resources, but discovered that we actually had a lot in common and quickly became friends.

I also think it worked well because we both had a lot to learn from each other and recognized one another's strengths. She was the more expert teacher, with a wealth of resources and knowledge.
