Often times with online lessons, students can work at a pace that is most comfortable for them. If certain students are learning the material more quickly than others, they can work faster and not be stuck waiting for others to catch up. This can mean that they can get caught up on homework they miss. They can individual work on things they know they struggle on like looking up multiplication games if they struggle with multiplication. There are also a lot of programs that teachers can use that will tell students what they are struggling on. Now, of course, there is bias in everything. But, with allowing students to develop their own thoughts through technology doesn't really require them to use their brain in the way it should.
