HISTORICAL EVENT

The celebration in Mexico begins on the nigth of September 15 with a ceremony in which the president or a representative recalls the original "Grito de Hidalgo" from the National Palace. 

This commemoration is accompanied by a popular festival with music, traditional food, dancing, fireworks and the national drink.

Its original name is "Winged Victory" and it is an ode to Mexico's Independence. Although it is an incredible monument on Paseo de la Reforma (Mexico City), it was actually created to protect the remains of the heroes of Independence. However, one of them is not there: Ignacio Allende, whose body rests next to the Cathedral of San Miguel de Allende, in Guanajuato.

As every year, the celebration will take place on the night of September 15th in the "Plaza de la Patria"

At night, fireworks light up the sky, creating a spectacular view over the towns of Hidalgo. The celebration is not only a party but also a way to remember the struggle for freedom, honor the heroes of independence, and strengthen the identity and unity of the Mexican people.
