It´s made of steel wich origin is metallic.

The manufacturing process consists in an alloy of iron and carbon.

Visual: opaque  

Thermal: conductor and it melts between 1371-1540 C 

Electrical:  conductor 

Mechanical: rigid , rigid, hard, tough   

Chemical: oxidize easily, impermeable and heavy 

Manufacturing:  ductile and malleable     

Ecological:  non-biodegradable, non-renewable

It could be made of other types of metals such us alluminium, it would made the same function(open the door´s mechanism) because it´s a resistance material.

However, it could not be made of paper becuse it would bend and broken easily, that´s why it´s fragile and it could not activate the mechanism.

It´s made of cotton fabric which origin it´s cotton flower.

The manufacturing process:

1. Yarn: Cotton is basted into yarn using spinning machines.​

2. Weaving: Cotton threads are woven on looms to create the fabric.​

 3. Finishing: process to improve its appearance and durability. ​

4. Tailoring: Finally, the fabric is cut and sewn to create  products, in this case the pencil case.

it´s origin is mineral and comes from sand, the raw material.

The manufacturing process:

The glass is cast and can fluid to the machines where they are the molds.

After, the glass fall into the mold where it is blew and compressed.

Then the glass with the form of the mold(the container) is ready to take it off.

The pencil case could be made of other materials, like other types of fabric or plastic.

But I think that it would be worse if we make it out of plastic because it will break easier.

VISUAL: transparent.

MECHANICAL: rigid, hard, fragile.

CHEMICAL: stainless, permeable and heavy.

MANUFACTURING: non-ductile and non-malleable.

It can be made of metal, wood, marble, it would continue doing her function (supporting the liquid inside).

For example ,of paper it can´t be made out because of the liquid inside, it will be destroyed. However, the best material is the glass because you can see the liquid.

The desk could be made of plastic but it would be less rigid.

It could be also made of glass, plastic, metal....

Although of tissue it could not be made because is not rigid .
