         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Many events were happening during the Great depression a few of those things including; closure of banks, Stock Market crashes, and Unemployment for 13 - 15 million people just to name a few. Each one of the listed events that happened during the Great Depression was a major reason why the Depression event occurred in the first place. But the biggest event was WWI. Countries during WWI sent many materials, resources, money and weapons to other countries therefore when WWI ended everything crashed.  </strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>This time period was significant because it was the deepest and longest-lasting economic drought of the Western Industrialized World. The people had never witness anything like it.  The Great Depression was also significant because it forced the US into a better economic system. It also lead to the US to enforce laws to help prevent something like this to happen again.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>When I was doing my research i was able to compile a list of Great Depression Vocabulary and the meaning of the words. <br></strong><br></div><ul><li>Nadir ( the lowest point in the fortunes of a person or organization. Or rock-bottom )</li><li>The Stock Market ( a stock exchange )</li><li>En Masse ( in a group; all together )</li><li>New deal ( the historic period (1933-1940) in the U.S. during which President Franklin Roosevelt's economic policies were implemented )</li><li>Dust bowl ( Region of the Great Plains that experienced a drought in 1930 lasting for a decade, leaving many farmers without work or substantial wages.)</li><li>Sit-Down Strikes (work stoppage in which workers refuse to leave a factory)</li><li>margin buying ( paying part of the cost and borrowing the rest from brokers)</li></ul>]]></description>
