The region of Tibet is a key region in the history of Buddhism. From Prayer bells, to drums, to Prayer wheels, many religious tools for Buddhism were widespread through this region. The political nature of the region is very rich as well, with the Dalai Lama, one of the most popular figures of the world being of this region. The region also boasts access to the tallest mountain in the world, and the highest average elevation of any region. However Tibetan culture is slowly dwindling as the Chinese government emphasizes the ethnic Han Chinese culture.
