4. In the last few years, both halves of the country have started to trust each other less. Because of that, they start to trust the news sources the other half uses less as well.

The COVID cases have increased by 13.5% since winter break. As of Jan. 6 there were 7,739 cases even with 70% of students not yet tested. The previous highest amount of cases was 3,000 which was in the beginning of the school year. Many other districts in the nation are extending their winter break or are going to be doing digital learning for a few weeks.
One way we can localize this story is an opinion story on what we think the school district should be doing to protect their students. For someone I knew nothing about and was not at all interested in learning about, the article made me more interested. It was written really well and I liked that some parts of it were written in first person. The article summarizes the content of the documentary very effectively and clearly. The writer also discussed their thoughts on certain aspects of the show and why they don't like them.

I really liked this article. It didn't summarize too much, which is something I need to work on in my review writing. They also used really good phrases to relay their negative thoughts on some parts of the show. One sentence said, "Segments dedicated to issues with her family, and father in particular, feel overworked." I really like how the writer phrased it to clearly show their opinions without being to negative or overly descriptive. Another thing I liked about the article was that it didn't show the writer's opinion until toward the end.
