I also learned that there are a lot of different biomes and they all have their own characteristics. I learned that animals have to learn how to adapt to their biome to survive. Food webs are a bunch of food chains that are connected. Lastly, all the animals are there to balance each other out. :)

I also found out recently that a biome can contain ecosystems such as coral reefs and kelp forests if its an aquatic biom. I didn't know till now that another producer, provide food and shelter for different organisms, fish and wildlife.

I also learned that there are 8 land biomes: polar, mountain, tundra, taiga, rainforests, desert, temperate deciduous forest, and grassland. I learned that there was also a nich (or a role) in there habitat. And last, I also learned that an ecosystem is the living and nonliving things in an area.

For example, I did not know that there were tropical and temperate rain forests. The next thing I learned was that cold deserts tend to have very gravelly sand. I also did not know that a tundra gets 10 inches or less of rain A YEAR! The final thing I learned was that wetlands dry up occasionally.
