Thank you to Mrs. Bouffard for being the best advisor ever, thank you to Dr. Shotwell for pushing me and still putting up with my messages and questions from time to time, thank you to the OSL for being awesome, and thanks to everyone who organizes the logistics (including those in the advancement office- you guys rock!)

I was lucky to have two outstanding advisors, Mr. Heavenrich and Mr. LaCasse, who went above and beyond to support me as a student and teach me leadership and life skills that continue to shape who I am today. I support Taft so it can continue to have a world-class faculty that develops the next generation of leaders.

We support Taft because of teachers like Mr. Alex Werrell.

Mr. Werrell was an advisor and teacher to our oldest son. He immediately made a positive impact on our son from day one. Mr. Werrell guided and advised him in the classroom and in daily life as a new student joining the Taft community. He helped our son acclimate to living an independent lifestyle, learning new boundaries, rules and ways of life in a new environment as a young teenage boy. Mr. Werrell helped him grow and mature over the years at Taft. He was also very present and supportive cheering for our son at games, navigating him with dorm life and being present with positive energy at many Taft events. Mr. Werrell introduced students to art, culture and educational topics through unique and fun field trips they may not have sought out on their own. Mr. Werrell went above and beyond in our son’s Taft life every single day. We were comforted knowing Mr. Werrell was an adult role model our son could turn to. We are thankful Alex Werrell was part of our family’s Taft experience. Participating in the Parent Fund is also giving back to our faculty.

who manage Taft’s Health Center are reasons why we support Taft. Over the years, we have had two children utilize Mrs. Lent’s services from minor health issues to larger health issues and times they needed TLC until they could get home especially during the flu seasons. Mrs. Lent and her team give our students the best care and compassion both physically and mentally that they are able to give. The Health Center team communicates immediately with parents and faculty to keep us in the loop. Mrs. Lent has also followed up in the summer to check on the health of one of my children. They are a team in every sense of the word from the second the student steps into their space until they leave healthy. In particular, Mrs. Lent makes that extra effort in her chaotic work day to know each student and connect with them, making them feel comfortable and truly cared for. To be three hours away and know my children are in excellent medical care is comforting and reassuring. Supporting our Taft Fund is supporting the Health Center team!

I support Taft to give back

to the place that had the most significant impact on my development, gave me my lifelong best friends, and provided me with teachers and coaches whose lessons still influence me 10 years later. I hope that current and future students continue to feel as impacted by their experience and the community they are a part of as I have.
