· The vocabulary is presented within a specific context (temporal, spatial, narrative, etc.), so that together with visual support, learning is reinforced by taking on a tangible, logical and practical sense.

· Comics allow us to become familiar with characteristic aspects of English (or American) culture such as social conventions, type of humor, etc.

If you are just starting to learn, it will probably be easier for you to read comics with lots of representative illustrations of the story and short dialogues. You can also value following comics aimed at a child or very young audience, since they will use a more limited and simple vocabulary.

If you follow fantasy comics, science fiction, etc. keep in mind that terms may appear whose use is not very common since it will be specific to the type of context in which the story takes place or even the licenses that the author takes to enrich the story.
