At the age of eight,he was diagnosed with a growth hormone, and his parents could not pay for the treatment. In the year 2000 he moved to Barcelona, Spain where the Barcelona club paid for his treatment.

From 2000 to 2004 he was playing in the Barca lower categories, he made his debut for Barcelona on Octuber 16,2004 and debuted in the Argentine national team on May 17,2005 in a match against Hungarian national team.

At Barcelona he scored 672 goals and 268 assists from 2004 to 2021, won four champions league stand out, with National team won the 2008 Olympic Games.
