- 3 years ago, there was 90 dairies farms along the southern Murray, but years without water has put most of those farms out of business 
- 60% of the nation's food supply came out of the southern basin and if we just added some water farmers could replace that 60% in a blink of an eye
-  must realise water through our irrigation systems to produce the food we need to survive
- supplying water is an urgent national priority
