1. My only concerns is possibly falling behind and getting confused

2.I am mostly hands on learner but I also do not like to speak out of a crowd

3. I am mostly quite and try my best to listen and understand what is going on in the class

1. What is the point of Fairchild's project?
So we can look back, and look forward, to pass knowledge to future generations

2. what are the effects of showing videos of older native Americans during his speech?
To show the people their stories and facial expressions as they tell the stories

3. Evaluate Seth Fairchild's speech. Is his intention to inform, persuade, and/or entertain?

He is being informative

1.Does the video appear to be biased in any way (leaning more towards one side of the argument? what makes you think they are biased?

It seems to be biased towards changing to name and didn't give much of a counter argument

2. Consider your own opinion on the issue. What do you think should be done when the society considered "previously acceptable" is no longer acceptable?

I personally don't care much about logos and if they are racist or not I so I don't really have much of an opinion towards it.

She did not want to have fame from her work but she wanted to write poems, someone else took credit for her work but since she didn't want to be famous she still felt motivated when people liked it

What are some daily habits someone could do to eventually become a successful, happy person?

Something simple as exercising in the morning or meditation can help

Where did you learn this information? Have you seen it work for other people? Has it worked for you?

I have heard it from motivational people and I have trouble turning it into a habit.

What does this video show us about. the depiction of the devil throughout the literature?

He has changed a lot over time, some forms he was human and others he was a lizard or goblin form, from both evil to good.

Why do you think writers from the Romantic period shifted away from the puritain style of morally good characters and began writing about characters who made bad choices?

It is probably more connecting or relatable to the reader because nobody is perfect.

His poems were about personal experiences of the war, and a lot of other issues around America, and talked about America as a whole, Walt wanted to write about America as a brotherhood that no other country has Achieved.

According to the video what is a metaphor?

A way to describe one thing by saying another thing

What does it mean to use an extended metaphor?

To extend onto a metaphor and describe it more thoroughly

Develop a meatphor to describe something that takes up a lot of your time. Trying to describe it using imagery ( sense, touch, smell, taste, or sound)

School is a tortoise walking slow across a field to reach it's home, every step slow, and repetitive, same path each day with a pile of leaves in the middle.

The realism shows how you may feel on an adverage day, and maybe also on a hot day since they are holding a fan, The lady also looks either sad or upset, the background is also more darker than the other, she is facing away from the painter.

In the romanticism painting the background is more white, and light. The girl looks like she is posing, she also seems more happy.

One feels more natural than the other.

It is about freedom

Explain why this theme best fits the story.

She realizes now that her husband is dead he can't hold her down, preventing her from doing what she wants to do in life.

We've discussed sone ways that literature and art were changed as a result of WWI, but how were families impacted?

Families became smaller, women started working, children went to school

What positive changes resulted for people?

With changes of production of items and doing chores, and during WWI women took jobs that the men were not doing due to them being drafted, Women started going to college, child labor laws were increased. More quality time with friends.

Were there any negative results mentioned in the video? If so, what were they?

Birth rates went down
