<title>I have many ELL students in my classes. My Latino and Asian students usually perform well and have a larger group of peers to collaborate with when they need clarification. My Swahili students have the biggest difficulty and gap and I struggle with finding resources to accommodate them. </title>

<title>45% of my school is classified as ELL, so I teach many ELL students from beginner to intermediate to advanced. Some students speak little to no English, which really makes things difficult and frustrating for me and them. There are three ELL teachers, but there is little support due to the high number of students they need to support.</title>

<title>I have two ESL students who have lived in the United States since elementary school and they both do very well in school. Both are very hardworking and dedicated students, though they are typically quite reserved and don&#39;t often participate without cold calling.</title>

<title>I have two foreign exchange students, but they speak and write English very well. If we have a communication issue we just use their translator or do something like charades.

<title>Our school is a majority minority school where most students are not Caucasian. I have several students throughout the year that come directly from another country and only know familiar greetings in English. I do have a translator in one of my classes that is heavier with ELL students, but the translator only speaks Spanish. I have a few students&#39; whose first language is Tigrinya, which is a difficult language to find good supports and translations. I still have several classes where I have no translator available and rely heavily on Google translate</title>
