I looked up online for an Op. shop close to where I live and found multiple of them. I randomly chose one called 'The Vinnies', a little further than Springvale metro station. 

Once I stepped into the shop, I was shocked to see lots and lots of clothes. For a moment I got disappointed as i thought I won't be able to find something that wasn't cloth. 

But there it was, locked in an antique cabinet, a miniature English bowl, on it were small painted flowers, with nice finishing touches of yellow gold on the rim and the base. A nice lady there helped unlock the cabinet and I could see the bowl was ancient, that it had a history.

I was already thinking of different ways a i could change it - one of them was turning it up-side-down and creating a dress for a Barbie doll, but thought it too creepy. Regardless, I decided on making it a lamp.

I got a really short string of Christmas light - the source of light -  and a tiny wine glass - the stand - combined all of these and VOILA!
