Discovery Booster Club - Popcorn Friday

Sign up to volunteer for the first Popcorn Friday of the 2026-2027 school year on September 4th and join other NRE parents for a fun, easy way to connect to our community while bagging and delivering popcorn to the students.

SAC (School Accountability Committee) is a once/month commitment for a meeting to discuss the wants and needs of the school.

PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) positions are flexible and usually split between two people to minimize stress. This organization is responsible for fundraising and events at the school. Everyone is welcome to general assembly meetings! We welcome anyone who wants to be part of an event committee, or even chair an event!

Help plate and handout trays to kids buying lunch.

Restaurant Nights Chairperson

PTO partners with community businesses who host "spirit nights" for us. We are looking for one or two volunteers who would like to setup two+ restaurant nights per month starting in June and going through May 2027.

Paint the Rock: NRE families often ask PTO for help to paint the rock for them on the day they reserve it. For an extra donation, PTO provides a volunteer to paint. We are seeking more people who enjoy painting that would like to volunteer their time in this way!

Grant Writer

NRE has a couple of large funding needs: replacing broken playground equipment and getting new desks. Grant funding may be available for these large expenses. PTO is seeking individuals with grant writing experience to join a small team.

Watch Dog Dads

Our Watch Dog Dad Kick Off Party will be Wednesday, August 26th at 5:00 in the gym. You will be able to sign up for dates (here) following the meeting! The meeting will allow you to learn about the program and meet other dads that have participated in the past. More information will be sent out closer to the event.
