How: Jim Jones persuaded people that by drinking "tasty punch", they would be revolutionizing the world. although many apposed to the idea, Jim forced people to drink the punch, telling them to ignore the cries and screams of children and moans and groans of people, and to focus on the central purposes.

Singled out doctors, teachers, monks, journalists, the rich, artists, anyone with an education, and ethnic or religious minorities.
