And I also can see that teachers get a laptop. Not easy to manage and to finance but maybe that's the best way to equip teachers. Good ideas but...

As teachers we also get our own laptops provided by the Government. However, there is no ICT administrator, there are a number of digital literacy support teachers (one per number of schools) that may cover part of the role of an ICT administrator. There are then the technicians who take care of the more technical side of things like networks, wireless etc. It would be great if like Kolbrun we get an ICT administrator per school. I believe that the financial aspect is an important consideration when dealing with ICT and how to balance this with good switches and networks as suggested by Peter.

I'm very happy with this course because I'm learning a lot. It is very interesting from what I saw of the two videos. In my school all teachers work and teach using the IWB, use pack of publishing house to work with the students. or use the language lab with a 24-computer workstation with connections (we have a cost-free broadband switch with wi-fi and network connections) we have a projection panel, a projector, a printer, a computer for the teacher where can control all activities for each individual student. Each teacher is able to use it, if there is someone who does not know how it works, I support them in the use of the laboratory and its operation. If there is a network problem, we have the technicians who take care of them .. I'm thinking of having google classroom used at school. The financial aspect according to Peter is fundamental for being able to work serenely.

In my country, it should also be.
The main problem is that most schools have old computer equipment for more than ten years. Servers and thin clients we got long ago, cca 2005. We get other computers through donations and gifts. We got the optical broadband network from Carnet last year. We are delighted with the wifi network and the use BYOD.
I hope that everything will be better than September 2018 when we should start with the ICT curriculum reform.

I appreciate the fact that in both schools all teachers have a laptop , that students can reach computers outside classes . I 'm impressed by the ICT equipment and the network infrastructure ! In my school , we have a computer lab( 12 stand olne pc ) a computer trolley (10 laptops) , some computers for teachers but they are for use only at school . But ICT and computer science lessons on our national curriculum. My main concert are the network infrastructure and the low level of use (and deny) of Ict from teachers . And the speed of our broadband connection of course (provided by the National School Network) .Thank you Peter for the switch tip!!

I think that computer department (as one in video with Kolbrún) supervising multiple school ICT is great idea because professionals in most cases may solve problems more efficiently and much quicker than "I learnt on the job" ones. I agree with Peter that going to could or to free products like google drive is good way to teach and to save resources for infrastructure and management.

Now I'm even more sure I'm doing too much work for free and I'm having too much stress because of it. People here think administering everything and helping everyone out (even thought all teachers in my school have ECDL licenses) is something I simply have to do just because I'm the only one who can do it. I could suggest hiring an ICT administrator for all schools in our town/district. This idea was already presented in the past by someone else, but I could try one more time.

I also liked the idea of presenting a parent's activity report for each student.
In Peter's video, I'm new to the fact that each student has an email address assigned to him in the learning process. I strongly welcome the idea of using free systems to save money on using the Libre office or the Google system instead of Microsoft Office (but in my school and in most schools in Lithuania this will not do much because the curriculum teaches MS Office programs and examines also with MS Office applications).

I wish that schools in my country are organized like that.

We don’t have free internet access, schools have to pay for it, and it’s about 30-50mbps (not 100mbps like in Peter’s school). When teacher in our school gets a laptop, that laptop is in use for 5-10 years. Some schools in Croatia have their own copy machines and some rent them (then school has to pay a fee for every copy made). The worst thing is that in some schools in Croatia teachers can print and copy in unlimited amounts, in some copying and printing is limited (100 copies per teacher) and in some schools teachers have to bring their own paper if they want to print or copy something. Every Croatian student and teacher also get an official email address, but without any kind of usage policy or training. If student attends ICT class, then, after four years of schooling, is educated on how to use email.

I use Edmodo, Socrative and Purposegames for grading students but many other teachers don’t use ICT at all.

I could only dream to have an access to such high quality equipment plus fast internet connection. I think it is a great idea to have few networks sothere are separate for students, teachers and visitors; mobile lab is also a great idea; both of them are professionals in the field of administering school's ICT. Peter says about separate acconts for each students and use of google for schools - all seem to be well thought and done in a very professional way. I hope in time our schools here in Poland catch up on the level of advance of access through school to those great opportunities that ICT gives. School's broadband network in Ireland seem a perfect solution to the growing needs of quality of the infrastructure.
