         <description><![CDATA[<div>“There were individual variants here and there but within pretty narrow limits we all wore the same clothes, talked the same way, ate the same way, listened to the same music” (10).</div><div><br></div><div>I infer that the kids at school don’t like Stargirl because they are so used to what’s ordinary and common that they don’t know how to act when a girl who does meet all of the “normal” standards joins their school. I believe this because the kids are talking about how Stargirl is so weird because of the way she dresses and acts, but they never said anything about her being mean or annoying. Also when she acts or dresses differently, they don’t know how to act in response. That’s why I infer this.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
