According to the curriculum, Sunni accounts 'associate Hazrat Ali's collection of the Quran with his delay in offering the oath of allegiance to Hazrat Abu Bakr as caliph' (Vol. 1, Pg. 92). If collection of the Quran is given such importance and if Sunni's also acknowledge that Hazrat Ali played a vital role in the process, then why didn't Hazrat Ali's copy of the Quran become widely accepted? Why did Hazrat Uthman have to collect Quranic verses when he became caliph? Why not use or standardize Hazrat Ali's version?

How can we as teachers answer the question of supporting LGBTQ+ community's rights such as same sex relationship and marriage in the light of Qur'an when questions related to such communities are not explicitly available? However, like the Biblical narrative, the Quran states that Prophet Lut's messages were ignored by the inhabitants of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and were subsequently destroyed; whereby the destruction of the cities is interpreted in the reception history as a warning against male rape and went on to be used as a warning against homosexual acts.

He shared his dream with his son. Later both of them decided to follow the command of Allah.

In fulfilling Allah’s command Nabi Ibrahim went as extreme as sacrificing his own son. I am worried that what if students take this event in the form of binary and learn that we should follow Allah’s will no matter what. I am worried that it may lead to blind faith and may keep them away from indulging in to rationale thinking when it comes to following Allah’s command.

1. What is meant by Umrah? Can we Ismailis go on for a Hajj?
2. Do we Ismailis have five pillars of Islam? can we have some clarity on how can one understand and explain these pillars and how they are similar or different from Ismaili practices.
3. There are many verses in the Qur`an that gives away the message of embracing diversity. We learn about values such as respect diversity. Then why do we fight for the religious sites and places?
4. Why there is a notion in Ismaili community (In Indian context) that we need not read Qur`an as Imam is the speaking Qur`an. If someone reads, they are tagged. How can we change the notion. 5. Was Imam Ali consulted after the compilation of the Qur`an? Amidst the socio- political conflict within the Ummah, yet why Imam Ali was discounted from his authority which would include political, religious and social? What is the position of the Shia community on Imam's Ali's compiled Qur`an. Is that Qur`an still preserved, if yes where?
6. Can you shed some light on the PIL filed against removal of 26 verses in the Indian court and how can one view this if the questions arise from the Jamat or the parents body? How can one view the argument which is given behind the withdrawal of some of the verses?
7. If the previous scriptures were tempered, how can one reconcile with the fact that the Qur`an remains until the time of the compilation.
8. In relation to the freedom of interpretation of the Qur`anic verses, who is in authority for the non-Ismaili Muslims who can give Ta`wil? and how can one debate over the meaning of the terms such as Jihad which is mis-understood, or mis -interpreted and how one educate with the intended meaning?
9. Can you please shed some light on the choice of adding the selected four tasbihs recited as part of the morning tasbih (recited after the dua) and what meaning can be drawn from them? (Why Ya Ali amidst the other tasbihs which are the attributes of Allah).
10. Why should we thank Allah when Allah has given us the faculty to reason and whatever we do or achieve is through that intellect, still why should one thank Allah?
11. Why to glorify Allah? Since He has created the world and everything belongs to Him, yet why to praise Him?
12. There is a mention about Jinn in the Qur`an. Please can you explain who are the Jinns, How are they formed? What is their existential purpose?
13. If our soul has to reunite with Allah, then why did He create human when we were already part of Him?
14. What about the animal soul? Has this soul too come from Allah? Does each animal have to undergo the pheras as mentioned in the ginans. Where do these soul go after death?
15. As a students of science and faith, which theory of creation should we follow:
a. Evolution?
b. Big bang?
c. Creation of Adam?
