I was born in Caraga Regional Hospital, which is in Surigao City, because that is where my mother and her side of the family are from. We moved to Davao city when I was about 2 years old, and we,ve lived here since!

My Hobbies: Photography

I love taking pictures. I started my photography journey when I was in 6th Grade. I was studying at Ateneo de Davao Grade School, and one of the clubs offered there was the Photography Club. My friends have been club members for years and have been relentlessly asking me to join them, so I did in the last year of Grade school. I used my father's old Nikon d90, which he bought when I was four or younger. I didn't take a lot of photos, and most of those few photos were terrible. When I started junior high, I joined the photography club again with my friends. I still didn't take many pictures, and because of that, my composition skills didn't improve. I joined another club in the 8th Grade but rejoined the photography club in the 9th grade and have stayed until now in senior high.

My hobbies: Watches

I enjoy collecting and learning more about watches. This hobby started in 2019 when I was 12. My dad gave me a watch he bought on his trip with his mother in Japan, and I loved it. I wore it every day since then. It was then that I realized that I liked watches, but I treated them more as a fashion statement, similar to how someone would treat jewelry, and not as something that I wanted to learn more about. Through the years, I slowly became more and more interested in watches, learning about the difference between Quartz and Mechanical watches, the history of brands, etc. Watches have become a sort of inspiration for me, something to save up for, which helps motivate me with my studies, and I am thankful for that.

My Dream Job

My parents are both doctors, my father specifically is a surgeon, and growing up, I've always wanted to be liked them. I've always wanted to be a doctor. Listening to all their stories about the things they do in hospitals, the illnesses they've handled, the people they've helped, have inspired me to do the same. I sometimes toy with the idea of becoming the President of the country, but I know it's not a realistic goal and I feel that by becoming a doctor and surgeon, I can help so much people.

My favorite movie: Cars

I always loved Cars. I remember when I was young, my parents brought home a pirated CD copy of the movie, and I watched it over-and-over again until the CD stopped working because of the multitude of scratches. This movie has helped shape my personality. I love the idea of cars racing, and watching this movie again makes me feel nostalgic of a time I barely remember.

Recently, i've started taking long walks around our subdivision. Whenever I go for a walk, I like to listen to music, and I always listen to Laufey's music. I first heard about her when my sister played her music in the car, and at first I didn't really like it, but over time I loved it. Her music is soft and mellow, easy on the ears. Whenever I listen to it, I feel as if I can see the scene that she paints through her music. Her music is just different.

My hobbies: Singing in the Choir

I sing in our church's choir. I sing as a bass. I started singing in the youth choir 3 years ago, then after a few months, I joined the main choir known as the "Chancel Choir." I've made a lot of friends in the choirs, and have been to many places because our choir is frequently invited to sing in other churches as well.

My media consumption: A reflection

My media consumption is out of control. I spend so much of my day scrolling on Instagram, watching YouTube videos, and playing video games. I believe that the reason why I spend so much time is because I tend to try my best to avoid school works, and I use social media and other types of media as an excuse to avoid doing these tasks. It has been hindering my academic performance, lessening the time I spend studying and doing homework. I am also unable to improve my piano skills as I don't practice enough. This habit is not healthy, and one of the things that I have been doing to break this habit is going for long walks without an internet connection. I still bring my phone for my music, but I download them before going out so that I won't be distracted by the notifications of my social media apps. Another thing I do is try to read more books. I want to be entertained by something other than my phone, laptop, and TV.
