         <title>Chernobyl Accident</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.The design of the reactor was a  RBMK-1000 design.<br>2. There were flaws in the reactor design and inadequately trained operators that caused it to go wrong.<br>3. If operators had been trained more extensively and the reactors were made better with no flaws, the accident could have been avoided.<br>4. The plants reactors were operating until it shut down in 2000. Today, the plant is still in the process of decommissioning.<br>5. Many people were evacuated because of the accident and have not returned. It also caused radiation exposure to many.  </div>]]></description>

         <title>Fukushima Accident</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The reactors were GE boiling reactors.<br>2. The cores of the reactors melted due to a tsunami disabling the power supply and cooling.<br>3. Because the accident was caused by nature, there was no way to prevent the accident. <br>4. The power plant has the reactors kept stable. Cleanup of the power plant is still going on.<br>5. Many people were affected from the accident. There were some deaths and a lot of radiation exposure and sickness. People living within a 20 kilometre radius of the power plant had to evacuate their homes.</div>]]></description>

         <title>3 Mile Island</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The design of the reactor was a pressurized water reactor designed by Babcock &amp; Wilcox. <br>2. There was a malfunction in a reactor and it partially melted down the core. The reactor was destroyed and radiation gas was emitted. <br>3. If the reactor was built to avoid those malfunctions, the accident could have been avoided.<br>4. The plant has been shut down since 2019. The plant is safely decommissioning. <br>5. The nuclear accident forced people living within 15 miles of the power plant to evacuate. There were no deaths, but Cancer rates went up. </div>]]></description>
