This rudimentary mystical experience generated a bridge between human energy and non-human energy: me and my childhood dog. The dream gave me some kind of special knowledge that made me feel an intuition that my dog's death was near: he died days after. That intuition gave me precious time I could spend with him before he started to show symptoms of cancer, that took him completely within days. This message was delivered by my dog himself in my dream, and also, with some kind of spirit that took the form of a kid.

  1. Prepare your spot: it can be any special place in your home , a place where you can sleep. 
  2. Gather your non-human companion favorite objects: it can be toys, food. Place them near your sleeping spot. 
  3. Turn off any sources of light, it is better to do this exercise at night. 
  4. Incorporate your body in a comfortable position. Relax, and breathe slowly. Let your breath flow and concentrate on it. 
  5. While relaxing your body and while being conscious of your breathing, think about your non-human companion. Think of every part of them with extreme detail: their fur, the color of their eyes, their paws, how they move, their sounds, their expressions.
  6. In the process of thinking about the animal, close your eyes and repeat their name. If you do it out loud it is even better. The pronunciation must be clear and slow. Let their name become part of your tongue.
  7.  Do this exercise for at least 30-45 minutes or an hour before sleeping. 

Follow these steps for at least 2-3 months repeatedly. The key is repetition, concentration and achieving a feeling of extreme connection with your pet. 

This is the individual most important ritual. There is other group ritual that involves reciting a sacred text.

In the beggining this practice must be done alone, with time, you can try the same but silently next to your non-human companion. 

If your non-human companion has left this world, this exercise could also work to create this bridge of special bonding. 

PD: After creating this exercise last night, I actually dreamed with Elvis. I have not seen him in a while, and he visited again. I guess that repeating names and constantly thinking about the connection may have some impact, algo a neurological one.

That would include 5 principles that are related to the five freedoms concept:

  1. Freedom from hunger and thirst: your non-human companion physiological needs must be absolutely satisfied. 
  2. Freedom from discomfort: the environment in which they live must be safe and healthy. They must feel protected.
  3. Fredoom from pain, injury or disease:  An animal in pain will disrupt the energy around you, and physical and psychological suffering must be avoided at all costs. Your non-human companion must be as healthy as possible.
  4. Freedom to express normal behaviour: The non-human companion is exactly that: non-human. Learn from their behaviour. What can you learn from them? How do they interact with their external world? 
  5. Freedom from fear and distress: Animals' mental health is as important as physical health. Pay attention to their personalities and adapt everything to ensure the animal feels relaxed, connected and happy.

The connection and the bonding is what could be considered as sacred, it is based on experience rather than on a specific thought, is the action of remembering, of picturing the non-humans behaviour, of trying to understand them from other eyes. The 5 freedoms mentioned on this padlet are also sacred. Additionally to that, there is a special sacred text that is used to connect in groups:

There are loads of persons who have a strong connection with their non-human companions and have probably experienced their presence after their death or that had a premonition of something that was going to happen related to their lives.

As I already mentioned, there is a sacred text that acts as a group canal called the broken bridge:

On that broken bridge

This text can be read individually but it its function must be collective: it must be read in a place shared with your non-human companions out loud. Every creature (human and non-human) must be relaxed so the words can create another trance state. The reunions must take place every saturday at sunset at the nearest park. Followers of these beliefs will reunite and find each other with the help of their non-human companions.

In a world of clouds made out of shadows, a white dog wandered through dreams, before he was born. He weaved a bridge and connected with human souls. Night is the only time we both, together, humans and non-humans, could cross. One of those nights a bond was spun, between humans and animals bathed in soft moonlight, and finally, he was born. Now he could not fade away, nor could he die. 

Elvis could be that white ghost that created the first onirical bridge between species? It is possible.
