Adab in Learning

Our facilitator explained that we , as a student must have adab toward lecturer or teacher while class still ongoing.The few adab that we must do is:

1.Concentrate while learning

2.Do not came late to the class

3.Always respond to the lecturer or teacher if they asking

Al-Quran as a Guidance

We as a muslim must seek Quran to confirm and know the truth that connected with Islam because Quran is something that Prophet left behind for us . Also , we must take care our adab to Quran because it contain word of Allah. Example of adab with Quran is in a holy state which you perform a ablution before holding it .

From Umar al-Khattab said ,

When we were sitting next to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then there came a man whose clothes were very white, whose hair was very black, no traces of travel were visible on him, and none of us recognized him. Until he came to the Prophet ﷺ and rested his knees on his knees and placed his palms on his thighs ,Then he asked ,

"O Muhammad, tell me about Islam?" Rasulullah ﷺ replied, "You bear witness that there is no god (worthy of worship) but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, establish prayer, pay zakat, and fast Ramadan, and Hajj to the House if you are able to travel to it." He said, "You are right," Umar said, "Then we were surprised by him, because he was the one who asked but he also allowed it." He asked again, "Tell me about faith?" He replied, "You believe in God, His angels, His books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and you believe in good and bad destiny," he said, "You are right." He asked, "Tell me about courtesy?" He replied, "You worship God as if you see Him, and if you do not see Him then be sure that He sees you." He asked again, "Tell me when will that day be?" He replied, "The person being asked (I) does not know more than the person asking (you)." He asked, "Then tell me about the signs?" His Majesty replied, "When a slave girl gives birth to her master, and you see people who are barefoot, naked, poor, shepherding goats, yet boasting about building buildings." Then after that he left, and I did not ask the Prophet about it for a few moments. Not long after, His Majesty said, "O Umar, do you know who the person who asked the question is?" I replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best." His Majesty said, "That was Gabriel, he came to you to teach you about your religion."

From that hadith , we as a Muslim know what is our Islam Pillar . It started with Pillar of Islam which it's first principal is Syahadah as our confession that we're muslim . Next is etablish prayer 5 times per day , that is our proof as muslim and our pillar in life . Then , Fasting in Ramadan month and continue with Zakat started early Ramadan and end Noon of Syawal . Lastly , perform Hajj to Baitullah if we're affordable

1.Belief in Allah

As Muslim , we need to believe that Allah is our true God and believe with no complication and ambiguity . We need to believe that Allah is the sole Creator and Sustainer of this wonderful universe . We must avoid to claim Him has a patner or someone that similiar to Him because that Shirk . Only He deserves to be worshipped .

2.Belief in Angels

Allah created angel from light to serve Him as obedient servant . Those angels was assigned to several task such as Guardian of Heaven and Hell , the Questioner in Grave , Reaper and more . Unlike humans, angels do not have free will and they always obey Allah. Believing in angels helps Muslims understand that Allah’s guidance and power are manifested through these unseen beings, and it reminds them of the divine presence that watches over them.

3.Believe in Kutub(Kitab)

Kitab is Holy Book that contain Allah word to guide humanity . Those Kitab was given to Prophet was different followng the difference of times . The main kitab has 4 which is Taurat given to Prophet Musa , Zabur given to Prophet Daud , Injil given to Prophet Isa and Al-Quran given to our Prophet Muhammad SAW which a perfected version of kitab from older version . We as follower of Prophet Muhammad need to believe to Quran because it was our guidance to seek the truth of Islam and we advised to rawly acknowledge older version of kitab in these day because scared it was corrupted

4.Belief in Rusul and Anbiya' (Messengers and Prophet)

We as muslim must believe that Allah sent Rusul and Anbiya to guide humanity to seek the will of Islam . Prophet and Messengers duty is different . Prophet receive "Wahyu" from Allah for himself while Messengers need to spread whatever they received from Allah to his followers . Their Sifat Wajib is Siddiq(Truth) , Amanah(Honest) , Tabligh(Deliver) and Fathanah(Wise). While their "Sifat Mustahil" is opposite form that four sifat . Prophet and Messengers also sleep , eat , married like normal human .

5.Belief in Qiyamah ( The Resurrection Day )

We as muslim must believe that the end day or Hari Akhirat some day because our world already came to it end . By that time , all human will dead and resurrected from their death and grave to judged by Allah for their action during thier lifetime . Every person will gathered at Padang Masyhar and wait heir turn to their deeds being accountable , whetever good or bad . Even if you a little more good deeds from bad , you will granted Jannah ( Heaven ) but if you have more bad deeds you will punished in Jahannam ( Hell ) . Then , they will across Sirath bridge . It was narrow like hair divided by 7 piece and sharp as a knife . you'll be aided by your deeds and may slip to the hell below if you bad deeds too heavy .

6.Belief in Qada' and Qadar

The last principal of Pillar of Iman . Qada and Qadar represent the idea that everything that happens in the universe , whetever good or bad , is part of Allah plan and knowledge . The importance values of Qada and Qadar in Muslims is:

i . Trust Allah plan and accept whatever happen knowing it part of His wisdom

ii . When faced hardship , Muslim encourage to be patient and assume there are reason between them.

iii . Remind Muslim of their limitation and dependance to Allah and believe that everything happen is by Allah will and human can't change them

According to Al-Quran , there are 3 characteristics of people that have quality of Ihsan :

1 . People that do good thing to other people .

2 . People that do good thing to other people with their best level and as much as possible

3 . People that do statement 1 & 2 only for Allah SWT Himself

From hadith that narrated by Abi Ya'la bin A'us , Prophet Muhammad said :

" If you killing , kill with nicely , and if you slaughtering , slaughter with nicely .

In life , we need to prioritize pillar of Islam first followed by pillar of Iman and lastly Ihsan . By prioritize it in order , we as muslim can achieve peak life as Muslim

1.Adab to Parent

we as child must obey to our parent as them raised us with full responsbility . Our mom give birth to us and take care of us with full of love . While dad work had to make us living . As child , we can :

-listen to them and obey

-speak to them nicely

-help them

2.Adab to Society

We as part of society must respect to others , doesn't care if they're older or younger than us . As part of society , we can:

-Helping other if they need help such as groceries .

-Practice public manner

-Volunteering in event

3.Adab as Student

In School , we must maintain a positive learning enviroment and relantionship with people in school , even cleaners .

As student , we can :

-Respect teacher and other people in School

-Obey School rules

-Engage in class

Last week of usrah , the very last topic of usrah is about adab with nature . As a muslim , we must take care our nature because it the responsibility given to us by Allah .

Reason why we must take care nature :

1. To ensure our natural resources like clean air and water in perfect condition

2. To reduce natural disaster such as landslide

3. To ensure our enviroment is perfect for living

Hikmah of taking care of nature :

1. To get Allah blessing

2. To Teach us responsbility in taking care nature

3. To conserve our natural resource

1)Niyyah :

It refers to motive or intention. If we want to do something , we must have our purpose to do it . In concept of Ibadah , we must do the ibadah with niyyah to get Allah blessing in order to get a reward from Him . If we only do Ibadah for shown purpose to human or riya , we don't get anything for our Ibadah .

2)Amal :

It a practice in Islam and was considered as good deeds . The main amal in Islam is a Five Pillar of Islam and it is compulsory to all baligh Muslim . The Five Pillar of Islam is :

a.Syahadah

b.Salah five prayer

c.Fasting in Ramadhan

d.Zakat

e.Perform Hajj for who can able to do

3)Ihsan

In Islam , Ihsan refer to positive virtues that consindered to be essential for leading a good life . Some examples of Ihsan include compassion , honesty , humility and patience .

1)Prayer

In terms of health , prayer can help on our body posture and general muscles , also strenghen our joints . In terms of discipline , It can help us form a self-discipline by pray in time.

2)Fasting

Fasting can help us strengthen relantionship of Ummah by iftar together and perform teraweh in Mosque/Musolla . It also inspire acts of generousity , such giving those in need .

3)Zakat

Zakat can help reduce poverty , promote economic equality and create more supportive community . Zakat also can help Mualaf and attract people to convert into Islam.

4)Hajj and Umrah

If we manage to perform Mabrur Hajj , we are granted Heaven and our sin being forgiven . Also , we can strenghthen silaturrahim with our muslim brother from all the world

1)Al-Taa'ah

It means obeying Allah by following His teaching in the Quran and follow example for our Prophet . It's not just about doing what is required , like praying toward Him , but having a heart that fully submited toward Allah . Person who practice Taa'ah always tries their best for follow Allah order and avoid His forbid . The Obidience to Allah will bring peace toward a person life

2)Muhasabah

It means by rethinking your actions , word , and intention if they align with shariah . If they're something wrong with that , it a must for us to seek forgiveness and improve . The more you practice Muhasabah , closer you can became better person

3)Tawaddu'

It mean being humble and not better than everyone else . Humble person know that everything that they have such as wealth and knowledge came from Allah . They wll treat everyone equally . Our Prophet is a best example of Tawaddu' , even though He a Mesenger of Allah , He never Takkabur with it.

4)Jihad

It means making an effort to do what right in life of Islam . By example , a person want to became a better person by resisting their bad habits , such as smoking , or want to help society for good reason . While most people think that Jihad only consist fighting for Islam , the biggest of Jihad is actually fight against our own weakness such as lazyness.

5)Iffah

It mean by protecting our dignity by staying away from things that could lead to the sin . It include speak respectully and dress cover aurah . Islam teaches both male and female to lower their gaze and be mindful of their actions . A person practice Iffah carry themselves with self-respect and earns the respect .

1)Sabr

It teach us patience because require us to control hunger , thirst , emotion and lust throughout the day . We maybe tired by fasting and our emotion can be uncontrolled , but if we can hold and control it , we gain a reward for it by Sabr

2)Health Benefits

It provides many physical health benefits including improve health heart by regulating blod pressure and cholesterol levels. It also allow our disgestive system to rest and detoxify the body.Fasting is not only a religious practice but also a natural way to boost overall health .

1) Tawakkul

It means by put our trust to Allah .Some People might fear that giving awat their properties will make them poorer , but zakah teaches that true wealth come from Allah blessings. Through zakah , we learn to rely toward Allah and knowing that He will always provide you if we needed .

2)Ukhuwah

Zakah can strenghen ukhuwah which is brotherhood . When we help people that listed as Zakah reciever , we already help them by doing zakah . By doing zakah , we will remove jealousy and build love between rich and poor which will make our Islam society more united.
