Do you often think that you are doing something wrong? That you do everything just because someone told you to do it. This film shows how you can change your life and take everything into your own hands. The film touches on what each of us has been thinking about.

The film takes place in a prestigious school for boys. John Keating, played by Robin Williams, is the new English language and literature teacher. It is he who helps students to open up and choose their own path. This teacher is not like the others – he is creative and lively. Mr. Keating gives the children an opportunity to overcome their complexes and fears, to grow up as themselves and fulfill their dreams. Thanks to him, students gain their own thinking, he shows them the charm of poetry, the beauty of life. The point of education for him is to teach students to think for themselves. This is the most important thing in life.

"Dead Poets Society" leaves only positive emotions after viewing. John Keating managed to leave in the souls of the pupils the desire to live a decent life. Everyone in life has to make the most important choice. To make the right choice, you need to rely on your own aspirations and feelings.
«Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary.» (с)
