The movement took place between 1965-1975. Key events that happened during the movement was the strike for grape workers in which Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta helped out in. This is what really started the movement. The creation of the organization "Crusade for Justice" which was founded by Rodolfo Gonzalez was another key event. The main benefits of the organization were a food bank, job training, and a school for kids to embrace their culture. There were also many protests ran by Reies Lopez Tijerina who pushed for land reclamation specifically land lost in the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.
